If you have a new baby in your family, you can find eco-friendly, natural baby products that are safer and healthier for babies and for the environment.

1. Washable diapers

They are just as effective as disposable ones with less environmental impact. They are easy to clean and have many adjustable features to fit your baby better.

Available brands are Fuzzi Bunz or Happy Heiny’s.

2. Nontoxic crib mattress

Try to avoid mattresses that contain the toxic flame retardants PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers).

No Compromise crib mattress is made of organic cotton with nontoxic polyethylene plastic surface that is waterproof and stain-resistant. It also uses baking soda and silica to replace PBDEs as natural flame retardants.

3. Baby bottles

Plastic bottles often contain BPA which has been linked to many health problems (click here).

Use glass bottles or Klean Kanteen stainless steel bottles with a soft non-leaching plastic cap that is designed just for babies.

4. Baby carrier

ERGO baby carrier is available in organic fabric. It can be converted to different positions and evenly distributes weight on parent’s body.

5. Toys

Foundlings stuffed animals are stuffed with unbleached cotton clippings and wrapped in organic cotton.

To find more organic and natural baby products, read the original article or go to www.ecobaby.com

This post is going to introduce you to GreenPrint, a computer software that actually analyzes each page before it is sent to the printer for the most common of wasted characteristics e.g. pages with just the URL, banner ad, logo or unwanted legal statements. With that, less paper is used and importantly saving trees and reducing wastage.

Recently, they will plant a tree for every copy of GreenPrint sold before March 31 2008. If they reach 500,000 trees before March 31 2008, they’ll match every tree planted with an additional tree, making March 2008 a Million Tree March.

However, admit it, everyone must have thought on ‘even the huge gadgets we use won’t take that much energy’. That is to some extent true, because gadgets don’t typically take up so much energy. Nevertheless, have you ever count on how many gadgets will you need to make it through a single day? Alarm clock, Air Conditioner, Water Heater, Elevator, and if I was about to mention them all, this is going to be the longest tips you’ll ever read. So yes, they take up that much energy in the end. How can you help?

You can help by doing simple stuff such as trying to reduce their carbon footprint by using a proper charger. Also by following and buying Energy Star verified products. Small thing sometimes could result something big.

After having Solar Powered Cell Phone by Samsung, this week’s cool gadget comes from Motorola through The Motorola MOTO W233 Renew as their green steps. If Samsung makes their green steps by producing a solar powered cell phone, Motorola was able to beat them all out by producing a cell phone that is made from recycled plastic, 100% recyclable materials, comes with eco-friendly packaging, RoHS compliant, and comes with a postage-paid envelope so whenever you’re done with them you don’t have to worry about how are you going to recycle its 100% recyclable materials. You know what? YOU CAN SEND THEM BACK TO THE FACTORY TO BE RECYCLED! This is what you call a 100% green cell phone (it’s literally green, though).

This amazing gadget is available online at Amazon starting from $9.99
